We were first introduced to Wearparts products when we came across their booth at the Louisville Farm Show. We run a 60ft high speed liquid fertilizer bar over no-till ground, so having knifes wear out quickly is just the name of the game. After looking at the product provided by Wearparts, we noticed big differences and were pretty impressed, hoping we’d be able top get the same performance yet more life out of them in the field. We first ordered only half of a set for our tool bar, to see how they stacked up to the existing knives. After running for a few hard days, the results were extremely impressive and we ordered more that day. The lifespan of these knives compared to others was almost double, yet the price was very comparable.
So far, we have yet to have any quality issues with these knives. Obviously, everything has a lifespan, but these knives have been impressive and lasted longer than we honestly expected them to. In the past with other products, we have run into issues with the point wearing out too fast, as well as the steel around the application tube, causing poor application and more replacements of knives. With these we have not seen those issues near as much until later on in their life. They are just built heavier, hands down.
When it comes to price, the performance of a product is ultimately the deciding factor for us. With the combo of the performance and the “show price”, ordering these was a no brainer. Due to being able to buy these at the show price, we are only a couple dollars more per knife compared to our old knives. A couple dollars more for almost double the quality and life is awesome. If I could remember the name of the gentleman who I’ve delt with over the phone when ordering these, I would add it in and give him credit. He has made It very easy and got our orders on the road quickly so we don’t have much down time, as well as answered any questions we had and was happy to help. All together we have yet to have any issues when it comes to quality, availability, or performance. We are definitely happy we came across the Wearparts booth, and plan to continue running these knives.
